Russ Sanders is a Principal and Workplace Studio Leader with a depth of project experience across a diverse cross section of building types. Russ gravitates toward projects that incorporate culture, history, context, and place-making, and strives to foster a fun and engaging collaborative environment on every project. Russ was an early pioneer in the use of BIM and other design & management technologies and uses his mastery of these tools to benefit the entire project team, leveraging technology to enhance consensus-building throughout the design and construction phases. He is active in the local AIA, past President of Phoenix Metro Chapter, past chairman of the same Chapter’s Virtual Design & Construction Committee (VDC), and has been engaged in the AIA’s National Technology in Architectural Practice Knowledge Community (TAP). In 2005, Russ received a National AIA BIM Award – the first year it was awarded. Russ has since had the pleasure of being invited to present at numerous design technology events throughout the US and abroad.
