Monitoring the World's Largest 3D Print
In 2018 Branch Technology created a public pavilion at Nashville's oneC1ty development that was completely constructed of 3D printed pieces. As this pavilion is the tallest and longest spanning 3D printed object to date, it was determined that it would need to be monitored to evaluate the performance of the design and materials. Ragan-Smith Associates teamed with Branch Technology to devise a system for monitoring this project through a combination of survey and laser scanning techniques. This presentation discusses the challenges of doing so and the results of this study now approaching its 18th month of monitoring.
